Medical insurance

In accordance with German law, every foreign applicant is required to have health insurance valid throughout Germany. Without health insurance, foreign applicants are not eligible to enter German universities. The requirement for a policy is aimed at protecting the health of foreign citizens and regulating medical care during their stay in Germany. Health insurance ensures that in the event of an injury or illness, you do not have to pay the costs of treatment and medicines privately. Basic care is always the same: the insurance covers the costs of examinations, treatment of illnesses, treatment after accidents and some medicines. General services during a hospital stay are also covered. Foreign students must have proof of insurance with them upon admission. In Germany it is mandatory.
